EPW - Edouard Vielle, Chaux-de-Fonds, tandem-winding two-train stop/start chronograph with 1/4-second jump, 54mm, heavy 18K gold original HC, signed gold cuvette, bow with chain guards, white enamel SS dial, SW-button-set, fully capped lever escapement, possibly 31J, fausses-cĂ´tes pattern nickel damascene, s#22751 and s#409 within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 98.0 dwt (152.5 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, good chronograph and 1/4-second jump function, fine cosmetic mvt condition overall, scattered fine scratches and small surface spots to plates, marring around balance cock screw; nearly flawless dial with very small edge flaking at 9, infinitesimal pinpoint flakes to right rim of center hole; excellent hands, sweep-seconds-hand with few mild bends with the most notable being to its tail; case shows light to medium wear, some nicks to band between 10 and 12, no dents, reduced engine turning detail with full loss through majority of front and rear shoulders; tight bow, crown shows medium wear; good glass crystal.
